Jen Ken Kilns Kilns are available in a base model and an all included model. All included models include viewing windows, 1-2 kiln
shelf(s), shelf posts, one bag of kiln wash a metal stand or fire bricks. CHOOSING A GLASS FUSING KILN • 9" shelf fits an 11" diameter kiln, a 15.5" shelf fits a 18" diameter kiln Once a shelf size has been selected that will suit your projects, select a kiln by its depth and coil configuration. Small projects that require one shelf per firing may call for a single switch top fire kiln. Top
fire kilns can take longer to fire with only one coil to do the work, A 120v top fire kiln will heat more slowly than a 240v top fire kiln. If the projects are large in diameter or tall, then figure on a top and side
fireing kiln. A top and side fire kiln will have two or three infinite switches, one or two for the top coil and one for the bottom. Once the kiln size has been selected, there are two choices for controlling the
