DIAMOND SHEARS - GS SERIES

Essemce diamond shears are multi-purpose shears. The inside has a diamond shaped cutting area for cutting off round shaped additions. The ends of the blades have a curved section that does not have a cutting edge and is designed for holding and moving pipes and punties. In addition, the tip can also be used to hold and move round handles, etc. The outer tip of the shears are ground to a fine point which enables the shears to be used as tweezers for digging into and pulling on glass. SNUB NOSE SHEARS – SMC SERIES

Essemce snub nose shears are designed for trimming the lips of a vessel. They have blunt tips and are slightly curved to prevent the blades digging into the glass with the shear tips. These shears also minimize tooling marks and distortion of the lip. Available in 2 sizes. Order N for normal handle, S for small handle.

LONG NOSE SHEARS – SH SERIES

Essemce long nose shears have sharp, pointed blades that are designed for pulling out and cutting off small bubbles on a gather of glass. These shears make a clean cut leaving a smooth    surface on the glass. Available in 2 sizes. Order N for normal handle, S for small handle.

FOOTING TOOL

Essemce footing tool is designed to make perfect feet on gobblets and stemware. The top graphite plate flattens the foot with light thumb pressure while the spring-loaded lower graphite plate slides in the tool to prevent pushing the piece off center. The footing tool comes with a hook on the end for hanging on a bench. The footing tool is available in an under-work and over-work versions. They can also be used as left and right-handed tools. Available in 3 sizes. Order U for under-work, O for over-work.

GLORY HOLE BURNERS

Essemce makes 4 type of glory hole burners for use with propane or natural gas.  The 16 port burner is for an Orrefors type 0 glory hole, with approximate dimensions of 10" x10" x 12". Burner dimensions (l x w x h) 7.0" x 2.5" x 4.5". The 30 port burner is for glory holes larger than the 16 port and smaller than the 60 port model. The 60 port burner is for an Orrefors type 1 glory hole dimensions: width from 14" to 20", height from 12" to 20", length from 20" to 25". Burner dimensions 12.2" x 4.33" x 5.51" The 90 port burner is for an Orrefors type 2 glory hole dimensions: 20"x20" x25". Burner dimensions 18.7" x4.3" x5.5". Burners can also be used in round glory holes of similar dimensions.

WOODEN BLOCKS

Essemce wood blocks are available in a variety of sizes. They come with out handles, so when the block wears out, you can just replace the block portion of the tool and re-use the handle. The handle is made of stainless steel and attaches with screws to the block. Handle sold separately. Made of alder wood.

BLOWPIPE ROLLERS

Essemce makes 4 type of blowpipe rollers. The PS-1 is made to be mounted on a bench. It comes in two parts – one side with the power motor and one side for support.  Steplessly variable speed control with thrystor drive and dc motor. For two pipes approx. 5" apart. 110Volt. The PS-2 is a freestanding model for four pipes approx. 5" apart. Steplessly variable speed control with thrystor drive and dc motor. Can be adjusted vertically. Fitted with wheels for easy movement. The PS-3 is a freestanding model for heavier glass. For two pipes approx. 14" apart. Rubbered drive rollers. The support side is designed so that the pipes can be either placed above or below the support rollers.  Steplessly variable speed control with thrystor drive and dc motor. BLOWPIPE COOLING MACHINE

The Essemce blowpipe cooling machine must be connected to a water supply. By placing a blowpipe in the machine you automatically open a valve and the pipe is cooled with water from 5 spray nozzles. When you remove the pipe, the valve is automatically closed. Height 35". Special order item – please call for details.
