MURRINI HEMOSTATS |

Used to pick up hot or cold glass rods or murrini sections and add them to others. Many
complex murrinis are "bundled" from several different murrinis. The best way to bundle murrinis is to first preheat the individual parts. This prevents them from popping apart in the flame. Using the bent
end hemostats, reach into a hot oven and grab a murrini and then nest it to others. The hemostats are bent at 75 DEGREES, 1 1/2" from the end and the very tips have rounded grooves to securely hold the
murrini components. The grooves are so close to the end that they don't touch the glass that you are applying the murrini to. |

Borosilicate Punty Handles |
|

11mm diameter, 9" long and tapered at one end down to 1/4". Borosilicate rods
make great punty handles. Use to punty up buttons, sculptural work or for pulling down murrini. Borosilicate is a lot more resistant to thermal shock than soft glass (Moretti) which means that your work is
less likely to crack off. |
