SMIRICH MARBLE CUP |
|
The Smirich Marble Cup resembles an egg cup. The handle is located where you would
expect to find the stem and base of the egg cup. Because of the unique design, you cna from the marble by moving around and twirling the marble cup over the glass as you make the marble instead of moving the
marble around in the cup as you do in a conventional mold. As with all graphite tools, graphite can be used as-is. The brass Marble cup should be used with bees wax. |

EMIKO'S BIG GLASS HOLE MANDREL |
|
Used to make large holes in glass beads, rings, and sculpture or for core formed
vessels. A large diameter stainless rod, 2" long with a 5/32" diameter (slightly larger than 1/8") mandrel attached as a handle. The total length is 12". The handle is thin enough to make
quicker rotations and marvering easier than if the whole tool was the same diameter as you would have if you were to use tubing, yet thick enough to make it hard to bend. Also, unlike tubing, you do not need
to worry about moisture getting trapped in the handle and burning you. The large diameter stainless rod is cored out 7/8 of its 2" length to make it lighter. The end or the large diameter rod is solid so
that the cored out area does not fill up when it dipped in mandrel release. |
