MANDREL HANDLE |

Used to hold MANDREL TIPS for making copper tube beads. 3/8" diameter handle is 7" long.
One end is drilled to hold a tapered mandrel tip that holds a short piece of copper tubing. The mandrel tip is held secure by a small thumbscrew at the end of the mandrel handle. The copper tubing is used to
form glass or enamel on. Copper tubing does not require mandrel release and also sets the length of the finished bead, because the length of the bead is the length of the copper tubing. The copper tubing
becomes a permanent part of the finished bead. Accepts both the small diameter, 3/32", and large diameter, 9/64", MANDREL TIPS listed below. |

Used in conjunction with the MANDREL HANDLE, listed above, to hold COPPER BEAD TUBING .
The round mandrel is 3-1/4" long with the last ¾" tapered to a point. The hole of the COPPER BEAD TUBING is pushed onto the point of the mandrel to hold it while making the glass or enamel bead. The
SMALL MANDREL TIP works with tubing with a hole smaller than 3/32". The LARGE MANDREL TIP works with tubing with a hole 1/8" or smaller. You should always have a spare MANDREL TIP on hand. |

COPPER BEAD TUBING |
|
COPPER BEAD TUBING is used to form glass or enamel on. Copper tubing does not require
mandrel release and also sets the length of the finished bead, because the length of the bead is the length of the copper tubing. The copper tubing becomes a permanent part of the finished bead
and helps to create a very even bead hole. Since there is no mandrel release used, a bead made on copper tubing with a 3/32" hole will have a smaller diameter than a bead made on a 3/32" mandrel using
mandrel release and will not require cleaning. COPPER BEAD TUBING is used by holding it with a MANDREL TIP and MANDREL HANDLE, both found in the previous TOOLS section of this catalog. Use the
LARGE MANDREL TIP with the above listed COPPER BEAD TUBING size. 25 pieces per bag. 1/8" OD, 3/32" ID; 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" or 1" Length or Mixed Sizes. |
